GOD IS LOOKING FOR FAITH!
A. Hebrews 11:6 "Without faith it is impossible to please Him (God), for he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
B. FAITH IS THE EXPECTATION THAT GOD'S DIVINE NATURE IS AT WORK IN ME! This is our HOPE OF GLORY - CHRIST IN ME! Recognizing my weakness and His strength! I can do ALL things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me!
C. Philippians 2:12-13
FAITH IS NOT ONLY COMMITMENT TO GOD'S PROMISES; BUT ALSO COMMITMENT TO HIS DEMANDS!
D. FAITH IS A VERB, NOT A NOUN! FAITH IS ACTIVE, PRESENT TENSE! NOW, I BELIEVE!
E. Hebrews 10:38-39 "Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul."
2. Proverbs 4:20-23 FAITH IS OF THE HEART! THE ISSUES OF LIFE FLOW FROM THE HEART!
A. Matthew 12:35 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil things."
3. Romans 10:4-17 The WORD OF FAITH!
A. I BELIEVE THE POWER OF GOD OVER SIN IN MY LIFE!
B. I BELIEVE IN THE CROSS OVER THE WORLD!
C. I BELIEVE IN THE SALVATION AND POWER OF GOD OVER EVERY SITUATION IN MY LIFE!
D. I BELIEVE IN GOD'S WILL OVER MY OWN WILL!
E. Genesis 50:20 Joseph to his brothers, "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
4. Habakkuk 2:4 "The just shall live by faith!" Trusting, relying that God is at work in me!
FAITH IS A WAY OF LIFE, NOT AN EXPERIENCE OF A MOMENT! "The Christian life must not be an initial spasm followed by chronic inertia."
A. Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"

THE WORD OF FAITH, Part 2 - 5/9/99
1. Romans 10:6 The righteousness (character, quality, i.e. faithfulness, truthfulness; integrity) of
FAITH SPEAKS in this way. Faith does not remain silent, yet it is not rude or arrogant.
A. FAITH DOES NOT SAY GOD IS FAR FROM ME!
B. FAITH DOES SAY, "THE WORD IS NEAR ME!"
C. Malachi 3:13-15 Your words have been stout against Me! Saying it is useless to serve God! What profit is it?
D. When we discover that our words are stout against God, our first thought is to correct what we say. BUT
WHAT WE SAY COMES FROM OUR HEART!
E. James 3:6-12 THE SOURCE MUST BE CHECKED AND RENEWED! THE ISSUES OF LIFE FLOW FROM THE HEART! OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART THE MOUTH SPEAKS!
2. HOW DOES FAITH WORK? Romans 10:9-10
A. BELIEVE - with the HEART one believes unto righteousness (character, quality, i.e. faithfulness, truthfulness, integrity).
1) Proverbs 4:24-27 Put away a deceitful mouth!
B. CONFESSION - Lit. to speak the same thing. This is not just saying the right things, but confessing the abundance of the work of God in our lives! To speak what God speaks because that is what fills your heart!
1. RIGHT CONFESSION acknowledges what God says!
A) Greater is He that lives in me than he that is in the world! 1 John 4:4
B) "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find."
Romans 7:18
2. Unbelievers confess Jesus as Lord!
3. Believers confess their sins and God's faithfulness!
C. Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame! Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
3. HOW DOES FAITH COME? Romans 10:17
A. FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD!

1. Paul was Word of Faith! See Romans 10:4-17 The WORD OF FAITH teaching brought an emphasis upon
faith: 1) without faith it is impossible to please God; 2) Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God! It also Brought three Scriptures into prominence!
A. Mark 11:22-26 - FAITH AND CONFESSION.
B. Hebrews 11:1-6 - THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
C. Romans 3:19-26 - OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF GOD.

A. HAVE FAITH IN GOD! FAITH IS THE EXPECTATION THAT GOD'S DIVINE NATURE IS AT WORK IN ME! This is our
HOPE OF GLORY - CHRIST IN ME!
1) First step: give your life to Christ! Inviting Christ into your life!
2) Second step: giving Christ the authority to rearrange your life!
3) Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
4) FAITH SAYS whatever God asks of me, is better for me than anything else I could do!
5) FAITH BELIEVES I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
B. HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD! JESUS GIVES A PICTURE OF HOW GOD'S FAITH WORKS!
C. SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN! Faith acts! Faith comes to deal with problems!
1) Romans 4:17 God gives life to the dead and calls things which do not exist as though they did!
D. DON'T DOUBT IN YOUR HEART, but believe; and "he will have whatever he says." Doubt robs you of your faith!
E. FORGIVE THAT YOU MAY BE FORGIVEN!
1) Unforgiveness creates doubt in your heart! It eats at you until your confidence in God and your talents are gone! Unforgiveness distracts you from God's vision! WW: "Vision is when you see the greatness of God and the smallness of yourself. Without vision you become bigger than God." I will add that your problem, your mountain, becomes bigger than God!

4. Hebrews 4:11-16 Let us HOLD FAST OUR CONFESSION — let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
A. Your confession is the entrance into God's throne of grace! Your confession of God's Living Word is how you obtain mercy and find grace!
B. Proverbs 4:20-24 they are life, health...
C. Proverbs 18:20-21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue!
D. James 3:2-5 Your tongue is the rudder for your life!
5. Hebrews 10:19-23
A. Let us draw near:
1) WITH A TRUE HEART! A true heart, a heart that is true to God has full assurance of faith.
2) LET US HOLD FAST THE CONFESSION OF OUR HOPE WITHOUT WAVERING!
A) 1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses."
B) Hebrews 4:14 "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession."
C) John 6:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."
3) CONSIDERING ONE ANOTHER! Stirring up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, exhorting one another!
6. Mark 5:22-42 Jairus begged earnestly, SAYING... The woman with the issue of blood SAID...
THEIR FAITH SPOKE!

A. HOW DOES FAITH WORK?
B. BELIEVE WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART!
C. SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN! HOLD FAST YOUR CONFESSION! Confessing the abundance of the work of God in our lives! Speak what God speaks because that is what fills your heart!

A. FAITH IS THE EXPECTATION THAT GOD'S DIVINE NATURE IS AT WORK IN ME!
1) Confident expectation!
2) Proof of the unseen things of God!
B. FAITH IS NOW!
C. WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD!
2. TWO KINDS OF FAITH! 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
A. SIGHT FAITH!
1) John 20:24-28 Thomas: "Because you have seen Me you believe, blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
2) Romans 8:5-8 Those who are in the flesh CANNOT PLEASE GOD!
3) Galatians 3:13 "But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for the just shall live by faith."
B. WORD FAITH!
1) Matthew 8:5-13 Centurion: "But only speak a word and my servant will be healed."
God's WORD is his evidence - confidence of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen!
2) Psalm 138:1-8 God has magnified His word above His name!
10. Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word (rhema) of God!
A. LOGOS WORD - Jesus, Bible. A general Word.
1) 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

2) 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteous-ness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
B. RHEMA WORD - Revealed Word, God breathed by HS! A personal Word!
1) Romans 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.'"
2)We move from Faith-to-faith = Logos to Rehema!
3) THE WORD DOMINATED MIND ALWAYS BELIEVES GOD'S WORD WILL FREE HIM! NOW FAITH IS!
C. STUDY: informs you of what God SAID! REVELATION: informs you of what God is SAYING! REVELATION comes by WAITING ON GOD!

1. Hebrews 11:1-6
A. FAITH IS THE EXPECTATION THAT GOD'S DIVINE NATURE IS AT WORK IN ME!
1) Confident expectation!
2) Proof of the unseen things of God!
B. FAITH IS NOW!
C. WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD!
2. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 FAITH IS FOR PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLDS! Emotional, Mental, Physical!
A. EMOTIONAL - CASTING DOWN ARGUMENTS, IMAGINATIONS, that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God!
B. MENTAL - BRINGING EVERY THOUGHT INTO CAPTIVITY TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST!
C. PHYSICAL - PUNISHING ALL DISOBEDIENCE WHEN OUR OBEDIENCE IS FULFILLED!
3. 2 Corinthians 4:1, 6-8, 13-5:9 We do not lose heart! We do not look at things which are seen (we walk by faith!)
A. 4:1 You have a ministry, don't lose heart!
B. 4:6-8 The TREASURE in us is the knowledge of the glory of God revealed in face of Jesus! (Face = Spirit, Ezekiel 39:29)
"And I will not hide My face from them anymore ; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, says the Lord God."
1) Mystery - Christ in us, the hope of glory!
C. 4:16 In the midst of our tribulation our inward man is being renewed day by day!
D. 4:18 WHILE WE DO NOT LOOK AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN, BUT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN - i.e. GOD! Looking unto
Jesus - our example of FAITH, i.e. PLEASING GOD!
E. 5:7 FOR WE WALK NOT BY SIGHT, BUT BY FAITH!
F. 5:9 OUR AIM IS TO PLEASE GOD! Without faith it is impossible to please Him!
1) HOW DO WE PLEASE GOD? Hearing and obeying! Jesus did ONLY what He saw the Father do! Jesus spoke ONLY what He heard the Father say! By living to please the Father, Jesus destroyed the works of the devil!
4. Hebrews 10:35-39 Don't cast away your CONFIDENCE – FAITH!
A. YOU HAVE NEED OF ENDURANCE, SO THAT AFTER YOU HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD, YOU MAY RECEIVE THE PROMISE!
B. He who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!
OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF GOD

WORD OF FAITH: OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF GOD! - 7/25/99
1. Without faith it is impossible to please God; Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the Word of God! Word of Faith has emphasized
Three Primary Scriptures!
A. Mark 11:22-26 - FAITH AND CONFESSION.
B. Hebrews 11:1-6 - THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
C. Romans 3:19-26 - OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF GOD.
2. Romans 3:19-26
A. RIGHTEOUSNESS DOES NOT come through the law! Or our works!
B. Righteousness of God is through FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST! (3:21-22)
C. Righteousness is FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE! For ALL have sinned!
D. JESUS WAS THE DEMONSTRATION OF GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS!
1) Jesus revealed the Righteousness, i.e character of God! He is the Faithful and True Witness!
KEY: Righteousness is judged by God's standards. Not ours! Jesus lived by faith! Our example of faith!
2) Jesus revealed God's Righteousness deliverance of His own!
3) Revealed God's Righteousness toward us who walk in faith!
3. RIGHTEOUSNESS is the ability to stand before God without a sense of guilt or condemnation, or inferiority - as though sin never existed!
4. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Mistaken concept of righteousness!
A. In Christ we are a new creation! Born Again!
B. We are reconciled to God, our sins have been cleansed. And we have been given a ministry of reconciliation.
C. Even though we are now ambassadors of Christ to the world, WE MUST BE RECONCILED TO GOD!
D. Jesus was made to be sin with our sin, "that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
5. INNOCENCE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS ARE NOT THE SAME THING! INNOCENCE IS RIGHTEOUSNESS UNPROVEN! RIGHTEOUSNESS IS INNOCENCE DEMONSTRATED!
A. Adam was innocent, not righteous! Adam knew the will of God, but didn't act on it! Innocence will not guard or protect you from the devil!
B. Jesus was Righteous! He knew and obeyed God's will!
C. We use forgiveness as an escape clause for whatever we are doing!
D. Jesus said, REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND!
E. Deuteronomy 6:22-25 "and the LORD showed signs and wonders before our eyes, great and severe, against Egypt, Pharaoh, and all his household. Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers. And the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day. Then it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to observe all these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us."
OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF GOD
Foundational Scripture: Isaiah 62:1-3
WORD OF FAITH: GOD IS WORKING RIGHTEOUSNESS IN US! - 8/1/99
1. Isaiah 62:1-3 "For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns. The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD will name. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God."
A. God is working Righteousness in us! We are the light of the world! That light is the Righteousness
of God working in us, making us distinct from the world!
B. We are in the world, but not of it! Come out from among them!
C. Matthew 5:20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." They heard, but didn't obey!
D. Deuteronomy 8:2
2. Romans 5:17 RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A GIFT YOU SUBMIT YOURSELF UNDER!
A. 1 Peter 5:6 "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and He will exalt you in due time."
B. Here is the mystery, Christ in you the hope of glory!
C. FAITH: THE EXPECTATION THAT GOD'S DIVINE NATURE IS AT WORK IN ME!

F. WHEN WE HEAR AND OBEY WE ARE WALKING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS! All Jesus has is ours!
3. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS MORE THAN INNOCENCE!
A. Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." RIGHTEOUSNESS is the ability to stand before God without a sense of guilt or condemnation or inferiority - as though sin never existed!
B. WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD?
1) Adam was innocent! Adam knew the will of God but didn't act on it! Jesus DEMONSTRATED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD! Jesus knew God's will and was obedient to it!
2) James 4:7-10 Submit to God; Resist the devil; Draw near to God; Cleanse your hands; Purify your hearts; Lament and mourn and weep; Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up!
B. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT ONLY FORGIVENESS; BUT A DYING TO SELF TO LIVE FOR GOD!
4. A SIN CONSCIOUSNESS IS DWELLING ON YOUR WEAKNESSES! A RIGHTEOUSNESS CONSCIOUSNESS IS DWELLING THAT I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS AND MORE!
A. RIGHTEOUSNESS CONSCIOUSNESS: SUBMITTING YOURSELF TO WILL AND DO GOD'S WILL!
B. THE RIGHTEOUS ARE BOLD AS A LION!
C. WHEN YOU KNOW GOD'S WILL AND WALK IN IT THERE IS A BOLDNESS AND CONFIDENCE THAT RISES FROM WITHIN - IT IS THE FORCE OF FAITH!
D. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen!
E. FACTS REGARDING RIGHTEOUSNESS:
1) Philippians 3:9 Righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ! When we are in faith, we are righteous!
2) Hebrews 5:13 While Righteousness is a gift, you can be unskilled in Righteousness, i.e. faith!
3) Hebrews 11:33-34 Through Righteousness of faith they subdued kingdoms, worked Righteousness, obtained promises...
4) 1 John 2:29 If you are born again you will PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS! Live by faith!
5) Hebrews 1:9 What does Righteousness look like? It is said of Jesus - He loved Righteousness and hated lawlessness!
6) Isaiah 61:10 Only Christ can clothe us with Righteousness! Our righteousness is as filthy rags!
7) Jeremiah 33:16 Name of God: Jehovah Tsidkenu! The Lord is our Righteousmess!
5. Romans 14:17-19 "for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another."
6. Isaiah 32:17 "The work (i.e. effect) of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever."
HEALING IS FOR EVERYONE

WORD OF FAITH: HEALING IS FOR EVERYONE! - 8/8/99
1. Word of Faith brought Three Scriptural themes into prominence!
A. FAITH AND CONFESSION.
B. HEALING IS FOR EVERYONE.
C. PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS.
2. 3 John 2 "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers."
A. GOD IS INTERESTED IN THE WHOLE MAN! Spirit, soul, body!
B. Spirit: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!
C. Soul: AS CHRISTIANS WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST! Some of you are out of your right mind! That is why you must renew your mind!
1) Casting down arguments and EVERY high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God!
2) Bringing EVERY thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ!
3) Ready to punish ALL disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled!
4) CONFESSION BRINGS POSSESSION! We believe therefore we speak!
D. BODY: Here is where the spiritual meats the practical!
3. Matthew 9:2-8
A. RULE ONE: GOD IS FOR YOU, NOT AGAINST YOU!
4. IS HEALING GOD'S WILL? IS IT GOD'S WILL TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS? The obvious answer is, YES! Jesus showed us that healing is also God's will!
A. MINISTRY OF JESUS: SHOWING FORTH GOD'S WILL! Jesus came to show us the Father! John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." Jesus: "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father."
1) TO DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL: 1 John 3:8
2) RECONCILE THE WORLD TO HIMSELF: 2 Corinthians 5:19, 21
3) GIVE AUTHORITY TO HIS DISCIPLES: Matthew 10:1; Matthew 28:18-20
B. HEALING IS GOD'S WILL! GOD'S IDEA!
1) Exodus 15:26 I am the Lord that HEALS THEE!
2) Psalm 103:2-3 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives ALL thine iniquities; WHO HEALS ALL THY DISEASES!"
3) Luke 13:10-17 daughter of Abraham!
HEALING IS FOR EVERYONE

1. 3 John 2 "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers."
A. GOD IS INTERESTED IN THE WHOLE MAN! Spirit, soul, body!
B. BODY: is where the spiritual meats the practical!
2. Matthew 9:2-8
A. RULE ONE: GOD IS FOR YOU, NOT AGAINST YOU!
3. IS HEALING GOD'S WILL? IS IT GOD'S WILL TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS? The obvious answer is,
YES! Jesus showed us that healing is also God's will!
A. MINISTRY OF JESUS: SHOWING FORTH GOD'S WILL! Jesus came to show us the Father! John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." Jesus: "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father."
1) TO DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL: 1 John 3:8
2) RECONCILE THE WORLD TO HIMSELF: 2 Corinthians 5:19, 21
3) GIVE AUTHORITY TO HIS DISCIPLES: Matthew 10:1; Matthew 28:18-20
B. HEALING IS GOD'S WILL! GOD'S IDEA!
1) Exodus 15:26 I am the Lord that HEALS THEE!
2) Psalm 103:2-3 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives ALL thine iniquities; WHO HEALS ALL THY DISEASES!"
3) Luke 13:10-17 daughter of Abraham!
4. IS HEALING FOR EVERYONE?
A. Matthew 8:16-17 HEALED ALL THAT WERE SICK!
B. Matthew 12:15 HE HEALED THEM ALL!
C. Luke 4:40 LAID HANDS ON EVERYONE & HEALED THEM!
D. Matthew 4:23-24 HEALING ALL MANNER OF SICKNESS!
E. Matthew 9:35 HEALING EVERY SICKNESS & DISEASE!
5. WHEN DOES HEALING COME? WHEN CAN I EXPECT IT?
A. JUST AS FORGIVENESS OF SINS COMES IMMEDIATELY, SO HEALING ALSO COMES IMMEDIATELY!
B. Mark 4:23-24 HEALING COMES WHEN YOU PRAY BELIEVING! When you pray, believe that you receive!
6. FAITH IS RECEIVING THE ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST IN YOUR LIFE "TODAY!" FAITH IS NOT FUTURE HOPE, IT IS PRESENT REALITY! FAITH IS NOW!
A. Hebrews 11:1 "NOW faith is the SUBSTANCE (CONFIDENCE) of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE (PROOF) of things not seen."
B. Isaiah 53:4-5 "he hath borne our griefs (sickness and disease), & carried away our sorrow (pain), he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we ARE healed."
C. 1 Peter 2:24 by whose stripes ye WERE HEALED! In the New Covenant healing is PAST TENSE! JESUS PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR HEALING ON THE CROSS!
WE HAVE IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO OUR HEALING!
D. GOD HAS ALREADY MADE A WAY OF ESCAPE!
E. Luke 11:2-13 ASK...SEEK...KNOCK! W/IMPORTUNITY! Satan comes immediately to steal the Word. WHY? BECAUSE THE WORD GOES INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY!
7. WHAT HINDERS HEALING?
A. Luke 5:17-26 POWER WAS PRESENT! It was there BEFORE the sick man arrived! But nobody received anything! That is why Jesus told the man to go home,
IT IS HARD TO OPERATE FAITH AROUND FEAR!
B. POWER WAS PRESENT, BUT THERE WAS NO DEMAND PLACED ON THE POWER! ANY FORCE MUST BE REGULATED & GOVERNED! UNRESTRAINED POWER IS A DISASTER!
C. Pharisees made no demand!
8. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT I AM ABLE TO BELIEVE FOR?
A. YOU CAN BELIEVE FOR WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PURSUE WHOLEHEARTEDLY! PURSUIT IS THE PROOF OF DESIRE!
B. FAITH TO HEAL THE SICK: A FAITH TO RECEIVE HEALING WILL NOT WORK PASSIVELY!
WHATEVER YOU ARE ASHAMED OF
PUBLICLY, WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU!
C. MAKE A DECISION TO BELIEVE AND COMMIT YOURSELF TO PURSUE GOD'S GOOD, ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT WILL!
D. FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD!
E. We overcome by the blood of the lamb, the word of our testimony AND not loving our life unto death!

1. Joshua 1:6-9 Be strong and of a good courage!
A. To OBEY THE LAW!
B. To NOT TURN TO THE RIGHT OR THE LEFT!
C. Proverbs 3:16 RIGHT= long life! LEFT = riches and honor!
2. Hebrews 11:1-6 Two different examples of faith.
A. Abel offered a sacrifice to God BY FAITH, yet he was murdered. Some would not accept this as "strong faith."
B. Enoch walked by faith and was taken up into heaven - never suffering the death of this world! This is what some would call "strong faith," never having to suffer the torment of this world!
3. Genesis 4:1-8 Cain and Abel. Cain was the elder brother! Yet Abel was a success! Cain grew jealous and killed Abel. Abel's success was his faith!
4. John 6:60-66 Jesus at this time would not be considered a success!
5. WHAT IS THE PROPER DEFINITION OF SUCCESS?
A. John 4:34 "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and
to finish His work."
6. WHAT IS A PROPER DEFINITION OF PROSPERITY?
A. God is my sufficiency! God is my source!

WORD OF FAITH: A RIGHT DEFINITION OF SUCCESS - 8/29/99
1. Joshua 1:6-9 Prosper, lit: to push forward!
A. 3 John 2 "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers."
2. WHAT IS A PROPER DEFINITION OF PROSPERITY? SUCCESS? Prosperity
vrs. Success...
A. 2 Chronicles 26:5 "as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper." God is my sufficiency! God is my source!
B. Success can only be defined by purpose and measured by obedience!
C. Success has more to do with being than with doing! To be successful is to finish the originally intended assignment according to the plan and the specifications of the creator. You are truly successful only if you have done what you were purposed to do. Living with purpose is the difference between being busy and being effective. At the completion of His assignment Jesus could say, "It is finished!" Until you are able to say these words with assurance, your life will never be fulfilled and you will live another person's life!
D. John 17:4 "I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do."
3. Is God, then, against natural wealth? NO! How else can the Kingdom be financed? How can the lost be reached? The world won to Christ?
A. GOD IS NOT AGAINST YOU HAVING WEALTH, HE IS AGAINST WEALTH HAVING YOU!
B. Deuteronomy 8:11, 14, 17-18 "Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant..."
C. Luke 12:16-21 This night your soul is required of you! We must be rich toward God!
4. James 4:1-4 You lust and you do not have! You ask amiss! How? That you may consume it on your pleasures!
A. CURE: James 4:7-10
B. Galatians 6:6-10 God is not mocked! Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap!
2. John 4:34 "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me."
A. Jesus: "Not My will, but Your will be done!"
