All people are children of disobedience! And as such we are subject to the wrath of God!
Ephesians 2:3. This is the just consequences for our action of rebellion against God.
God, in His great love for us, has sent a cure, a remedy, a propitiation, a redeemer, a sacrifice for the rebellion of man. God the Creator sent His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus, John 1:1-18, became flesh, taking upon Himself all of our weaknesses and sufferings, eventually offering Himself as a pure and spotless sacrifice for our rebellion against God.
In the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the Law. That curse was death for rebellion against God who created us, for choosing our own selfish way above the way of a loving God.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them."
Romans 1:18-19, New King James Version
While God's Word, the Bible, says we are deserving of God's wrath, this is not God's desire for anyone!
"For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him."
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, New King James Version
The Bible speaks clearly of God's wrath, His final punishment for rebellion coming upon Satan and his followers, whether they be angels or humans. Right before this outpouring of God's wrath those who are "sealed" by their faith in Jesus Christ and His blood shed on the cross shall be removed from the earth, because we have not been appointed to wrath. This is the rapture of the Church!
There is a loving God who created you, "Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;" Genesis 1:26. All of us have gone astray, our self righteousness is as filthy rags before God. But God has a remedy for our sin...
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16, New King James Version
The name of God's Son is Jesus. He died for you on a cross, that by believing on Him you would have eternal life with God and escape the wrath which is coming upon man's rebellion against God. This new life can start today.
We begin this journey of a new way of living by believing that Jesus is the Son of God, asking Him into our heart, and yielding our life to Him! Jesus then comes to live in us and to direct us in the ways we should walk. God even gave us a guide to live by so that we would not get lost. It is the Holy Bible of Christianity.
"Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30, New King James Version
Pray this prayer right now asking Jesus to come into your heart!
"Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I have not remembered you and I have walked in my own path. I ask you to forgive me, Lord. I believe with my whole heart that You died for my sin of unbelief and I believe You were raised from the dead that I might live in You. Jesus, I invite You into my heart. I receive You as Savior and Lord of my life. Help me to live by faith, daily trusting in You for guidance and direction in every area of my life. By faith I am a new creature in Jesus Christ. The old man is dead and I now live by faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus for coming into my life and making me whole today! Amen!"
